The Gulf Solar Energy Congress is a high-level meeting of governments and the private sector focused on driving real development of the Gulf's renewable energy industry.
In 2011, we welcomed more than 250 government representatives, company CEOs and leading renewable energy experts to our annual Arab renewables event.
During this past year, activity has ramped up with governments and developers across the Gulf region launching new policies and initiatives in support of the renewable energy industry - including the near completion of the 100MW Shams CSP project, the tender for the 100MW Noor PV project and the first 10MW (of a potential 1000MW) of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in the UAE.
Opportunities are certainly plentiful but with obstacles like local infrastructure, investment and legislative certainty still prevalent, progress remains slow and the region’s potential is yet to be fully realised.
So join C and D level representatives from the entire value chain for 2 days of learning and networking. Hear from the region's top policy makers, as well as international and regional developers, investors, EPCs and many more.
