FCC has three major areas of activity, based on a balanced business model.
The Infrastructure division works in the areas of construction and industrial activity.
The Services division covers two large areas: environmental services and services for citizens.
Energy is a business area that is undergoing a process of consolidation, and which generates business in the field of renewable energy.
FCC is seeking to consolidate development of its energy business in Spain and the United Kingdom.
In Spain, FCC operates four solar thermal and photovoltaic plants and over a dozen wind farms. It is present in Galicia, Andalusia, Castile-La Mancha, Castile-León, Aragon and the Valencian Community.
Outside Spain, the company aims to attract stable partners to help continue its development in the renewable energy sector.
In Central and Eastern Europe, Alpine Energy, an FCC subsidiary and leader in the Austrian construction sector, has created two companies to develop wind energy assets in Poland and Romania. Waste Recycling Group, meanwhile, has wind energy projects of between 6 and 20 MW at its landfill sites throughout the United Kingdom.
